Why Nomadcitizen decide to go to Darqroom !
2Today, I will discuss about Darqroom website.
I received a certain number of emails recently regarding the small photo plugin from Darqroom, inserted at the bottom of my blog. In order to give you some clarification, I wanted to write a brief post about it.
But first, let’s step back for a minute so I can give you some background with my story.
For several weeks, I was looking for a place where I could store all my pictures but also organize them by portfolio or theme. Of course, I could carry on by just publishing post and add pictures at the bottom of each posts. As you can imagine, in terms of organization it’s not the best right ?
Another option was to set up some photo-album with wordpress plugin, but again, I was not very satisfied by the result, yes I agree with you I’m very picky !
Finally one of my friend recommended me to have a look at Darqroom website and I was immediately seduced by the format of their site and the list of features offered.
What and who is Darqroom ?
Darqroom is a new company, they started their activity in 2008 in Nantes (France), and want to focus on providing a platform for serious photographer (professional or not) who like to expose their work in the best conditions.
Again, I don’t want to preach simply by telling you this is the best product and you have to use it. However I found important to share my experience with you when I come across something useful and that has an added value (well at least in my opinion heheeh).
Today, I’m still playing with the plugin, well it’s a way for me to tell you bluntly that I’m not an expert and still learning 
but hopefully within a couple of weeks I will have a better expertise and control of the darqroom features.
Key features:
*Unlimited storage picture: I have around 200 pictures, but at the end of the month this number should reach 500 or 600)
*Online gallery: I found this feature very interesting and useful specially when you want to show your friends your latest series of photos.
*Possibility to print picture/instagram with different type of papers
*Share your pictures and galleries with your friends
*Ability to sell your picture online (if you are interested to commercialized your photos).
In summary and the least I can say is: feel free to have a look at their website and get your own opinion.

I looked up Darqroom and it does look very interesting. I have been looking for something like this lately and have visited a number of place, but Darqroom looks very promising. I will definitely take the plug-in into considerations. Thanks for pointing to the site.

Glad that you found it interesting ! I would be very interesting to see how will evoluate/progress Darqroom and what future enhancements they are working on. I feel confident they will focus on providing a quality platform focusing on the need of amateur and serious photographer. Well cross fingers
