Next trip: Ladakh – India

These days I have been preparing my trip to Ladakh. I will be flying to Delhi this coming Friday and then will catch a flight to Leh a few days later where I will spend nearly 2 weeks in the beautiful Markha valley.

I have not been to India since 2002 and it was mainly in the South of India but I remembered the trip were very powerful in terms of life experience and I can’t wait to be there again.

I do hope to cope well with the altitude (Leh is based at 3500 meters above sea level and we will hike up to 5000 meters high ..) but also the weather (Delhi: 40 Degrees Celsius vs Leh: 15 Degree Celsius and expect freezing temperature at night when we reach 4000 mt high).
I’m not sure if I will get internet connection during my trip (surely not during the trekking phase), but I will come online when ever there is an opportunity and provide you some news.

Before heading back to Delhi, I will do a stop for a few days in the capital of Jammu and Kashmir: the beautiful Srinagar.

During my (short)time in Ladakh and in Srinagar, I expect to write a lot about my experience, and also capture decent shots that I will surely share with you all.
