I totally agree with you. Outdoor activities with kids can be really fun, and they are able to do much more than one would first imaged – if they feel respected and the grown-ups go to it with a playful mind. So yes, get out, but do it responsible, as you say.

Yes, You have to take more time tu really enjoy the desert. A week seems a good idea and maybe in the Mhamid desert, more quite and authentic.
