Delhi: The heart of India in less than 24 hours
Delhi, huge megalopolis of 22 millions habitants. Delhi is the second biggest city in India just behind Mumbai. We knew that we had very little time to discover Delhi as we were in transit for the beautiful Ladakh. We knew there are so much to see that it will be impossible to visit even the tenth of the long list of sightseeing. However, what we didn’t expect was the extreme heat that was hitting Delhi at that period of the [...]
Srinagar, an escape between city riots and calm lakes
Leaving Leh to Srinagar that was my final destination. After a trip of more than 2 weeks in the Ladakhi mountains, I was really looking forward to go to Srinagar. I could not stay indifferent about the charms of Srinagar, as this city is among the list of places I always wanted to visit (others are Samarkand, Bukhara, Lhasa ….). Some reasons why I do like Srinagar: Beautiful lakes with transparent water that reflect the Himalayan mountains. Gorgeous lotus flowers [...]
Leh to Srinagar via Kargil or one of the most exciting road journey !

The road is open for the traffic from early June to November. It’s also one of the highest “highway” in the world. It takes about two days to reach Srinagar from Leh with a private vehicle and a stop in Kargil (but it can be done in less than [...]

Their prayers were echoing throughout the entire valley. While the sound of their prayers was rocking [...]

Leh or the capital city in the land of Gods
Leh, finally, after a flight of an hour and twenty-minute from Delhi, I reached the capital city of the (semi autonomous) sub-district of Jammu-Kashmir. Far from the heat of Delhi (40 degrees celsius…almost unbearable), as soon I put a step in the airstrip I can feel the fresh and thin air (around 15 degrees), what a relief ! While waiting for other passengers to get down of the flight, my eyes were caught instantly by the majestic view of the [...]
